About the Club
Sutherland Shire Sailing Club Inc. commenced in 1976. It leased it's current premises at Kurnell in 1980 and the ground floor of the existing building was built in 1983. A second storey was added in 1989. Sutherland Shire Sailing Club (SSSC) is currently taking a break from active sail racing. The Club still has financial membership and an active Committee. The SSSC Clubhouse has housed the Australian Volunteer Coast Guard (Solander Division) since December 2002 under an arrangement that benefits both organisations.
